A heart-felt table setting for a cozy Valentine's Day dinner for two.

Setting the table is an act of anticipation. It's a bouquet of ceramic, cotton and silver, held behind your back, waiting to be brandished. If cooking is a love language, then setting the table is an act of domestic flirtation, and this month I was feeling flirty. At a time when nostalgia feels particularly fresh, I wanted to lean into the red-and-pink of it all and pull together a Valentine's Day table for two nestled in our kitchen nook and layered with a few of my favorite things. I can already tell that I'll be reaching for these heart-print plates throughout the year just for the serotonin hit of eating off of a ceramic surface that loves me.
